本课深入研究碱催化的羟醛缩合,其中羟醛脱水生成烯醛。 如图 1 所示,碱催化羟醛加成反应中形成的 β-羟基醛在加热下脱水,生成不饱和羰基产物,通常称为烯醛。

该过程遵循两步机制,如图 2 所示。在此,碱首先将 α 碳处的弱酸性氢去质子化,形成烯醇化物离子中间体。 随后,氢氧根离子通过 E1cB 消除反应离开,生成烯醛作为最终产物。 主要产物为烯醛的反式立体异构体。
