Dr. Zhonghui Guan obtained his M.D. degree from Peking Union Medical School (PUMC) in Beijing, China. He did his postdoctoral research training first at NIH, then at Columbia University. He subsequently had his clinical anesthesia residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and his clinical pain fellowship training at UCSF. He is currently a physician scientist at UCSF to study the mechanism of neuropathic pain.
